Ingredients

  • 60gm sliced dried porcini mushrooms

  • 1 sliced red bell pepper

  • 1 sliced onion

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp. oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • chopped green onions for garnish (optional)


Preparation

Clean the porcini mushrooms: Wipe the mushrooms clean with a damp paper towel or a soft-bristled brush. If the mushrooms are large, cut them into bite-sized pieces.


  • In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over high heat. Add sliced porcini mushrooms and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until they are lightly browned.

  • Add sliced red bell pepper and onion to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes or until they are slightly softened.

  • Add minced garlic to the pan and stir-fry for 30 seconds or until fragrant.

  • Pour the sauce mixture over the vegetables and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the vegetables evenly.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

  • Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
